Ways to Enjoy a Mint Julep Cocktail

A Mint Julep Cocktail is a guaranteed refreshing drink all year round, however, there are a number of ways you can enhance your tasting experience.

Serving a Mint Julep

Ensure you serve your Mint Julep in a chilled glass, the drink is supposed to be cold to enhance the refreshing taste provided by the well-muddled mint. Traditionally, this bourbon cocktail should be enjoyed in its own specific Mint Julep cup, however, you can use a highball glass as an alternative – but we recommend investing in this silver cup as it will enhance the taste!

How a Bourbon Mint Julep Should Look, Taste and Smell

Your Mint Julep should be clear with frost forming on the glass and a very light amber color. You will be able to smell the mint with the aroma from your ANGEL’S ENVY bourbon lightly coming through. The sugar or syrup (depending on what you’ve used) will balance the mint and bourbon tastes, you should detect the notes of the bourbon as it complements the mint flavorings. A well-made Mint Julep is smooth and should go down pretty easily – and we’re pretty sure it will!
