Barrel Aged Boulevardier

Equal parts and equally elegant, this riff on the classic Negroni subbing out gin for Bourbon, gets a softer easy finish after mellowing in a barrel.

Barrel Aged Boulevardier

ingredients
  • 1 bottle ANGEL'S ENVY Bourbon finished in port wine barrels
  • 1 bottle Noilly Prat® sweet vermouth
  • 1 bottle Aperol®
  • 40 dashes orange bitters
  • Orange peel garnish
directions
  • Age for 30 days in a 5 liter barrel.
  • Pour 2 oz of the aged cocktail into a mixing glass full of ice. Stir for a full minute.
  • Strain into an old fashioned glass with a single large ice cube.
  • Garnish with a large orange peel.
  • Try swapping out the Aperol for Martini Fiearo for more of an orange influence.
