Tracey has a long history in hospitality. “I’ve been involved in the industry since I was a teenager and put myself through college by bartending five nights a week. I earned a B.A. in English and, still, always found myself coming back to the bar for one reason or another!”
What is it that she loves about the work? “What keeps me passionate about what I do is always learning more about the spirits industry and being able to share that knowledge with other people—whether it’s a new bartender hungry for information or a consumer who wants to build a home bar. I love to share the finer things in life, like whiskey and food—those times and places where people gather to enjoy conversation and connection. I can’t think of a better industry to be a part of!”
She learned about Angel’s Envy when she was bartending in San Diego. “At first, I was intrigued by the bottle, which drew me to what was inside. I was even more intrigued once I tasted and learned about the port finishing which, being a Scotch drinker, was an idea I just loved for Bourbon! I appreciate makers that stretch outside of the obvious directions and give us something new and unexpected.”
When she’s not working, Tracey has a number of other creative outlets. “Outside of my job, I like to work on my bench at the jewelry studio, burning metal and being creative. I also love to go to shows whenever my favorite bands come to town. Traveling is also on the top of my list and I love to experience other countries, people and cultures. I like to study nutrition and work hard to make sure I practice balancing out the late nights with proper diet and exercise.
