Using hand-selected barrels that have been imported from the Douro region of Portugal, every barrel holds its own nuanced flavor profile. We blend Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey between 4-6 years prior to finishing in a single port wine barrel for another 3-6 months. The result is a palate of cherry, brown sugar, and dark chocolate notes with olfactory notes of vanilla and stone fruit.

We sourced premium French oak barrels from the Bordeaux region of France, which were seasoned with Oloroso Sherry in Jerez, Spain for over a year—introducing fruit notes along with the nutty, tobacco flavor profile characteristic of Oloroso Sherry. These barrels offered a distinctive richness to our 5-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which finished in them for up to 16 months.

The introduction of Tawny Port Wine barrels adds an exciting layer of depth to our barrel program. Each single barrel reflects the individual characteristics imparted by the wood, age, and storage conditions of its finishing cask. As a result, every barrel delivers a distinct expression—one that highlights the nuanced influence of secondary finishing.
