David is a professional bartender and beverage consultant based in Miami, FL with over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry. “I began my bartending career as a bar-back with an events company in 2005 and worked my way up throughout every environment imaginable. From dive bars to nightclubs and hotels to fine dining restaurants, I have progressively spent time fine-tuning my craft in accordance with the ever-evolving demands of this industry. Beginning in 2013, I served as Diageo Miami’s resident Director of Cocktail Development and also played a pivotal role as an educator for the Diageo Bar Academy program until the end of summer 2018. Over the years, I have successfully earned several spirits education awards and certifications such as the WSET Level II Award in Spirits, Executive Bourbon Stewardship & BARSmarts Advanced Certificate, to name a few.”
David’s accolade’s speak to his passion for the work, but what keeps him engaged? “From meeting strangers and learning about them over a glass of their favorite whiskey to experimenting with the latest cocktail trends and techniques behind the bar, I really enjoy the dynamic nature of this industry. I also feel privileged to be able to share my passion for teaching, and thereby also learning from other cultures through their food and drink.”

He still remembers his first experience with Angel’s Envy. “The first time I saw it I was working a new gig at a cocktail bar, and the bottle just stood out on display. I thought it was an interesting concept to finish the bourbon in port wine barrels and I loved how well-balanced the flavor was.”
When he’s not introducing people to Angel’s Envy or working behind the bar, David likes to get out. “I love spending time in the great outdoors, whether it’s hiking or riding bikes or kayaking down the New River in North Carolina. Me gusta NATURE!” Be sure to introduce yourself to David if you happen to see him at a Miami Angel’s Envy event. He’s a good man to enjoy a drink with.
