Eli is a Los Angeles native and currently lives in Venice, CA. He’s a graduate of UCLA with a BA in Communication Studies. Before finishing his degree, he lived and worked in New York City for almost three years while taking a break from academics. NYC was where he started his career in hospitality.
Eli continued his career upon returning to the west Coast. “When I moved back to Los Angeles, I was able to get a job in Santa Monica, where I got my first real introduction to various spirits and cocktails. The ability to create and nurture new relationships as well as giving someone a memorable experience is what draws me to hospitality. Likewise, my peers in Los Angeles are amazingly creative and constantly surprise me with their ingenuity. We all support each other.”

His first experience with Angel’s Envy happened during his time on the east coast. “I remember seeing the bottle of Angel’s Envy at a bar in NYC and thinking to myself, “What a cool looking bottle.” After purchasing a taste, I was amazed at how complex it was and how smooth it went down. This was before I had any knowledge of spirits or cocktails.”
When he’s not furthering his knowledge of spirits industry, Eli explores the other side of restaurants. “I am a huge foodie, and with Los Angeles being one of the best food cities in America, I love trying new restaurants and bars. I hope to one day open my own restaurant.” Look for Eli at Angel’s Envy events around LA, and be sure to try one of his exceptional drinks.
